Your Bio

The short story is that I'm an emergency medicine resident physician who really should be spending more time working and less time taking pictures. Well, at least I'm not taking a bunch of time to write a bio.

Oh, for any purists out there, I play with Photoshop. Some of these images have been manipulated. There, I've gotten my warning out of the way.

"Rainforest" 1.10.04 : More bird pictures from Moody Gardens. This time, I shot using mostly Aperature Priority to get a narrow depth of field. Most images were a little blurred since I didn't use a tripod. These were some I kept as I learned my lesson.

Attack of the Killer Data Squirrels : 4/14/08. A Day Of Infamy. Our hospital's data center was the subject of a cruel and unprovoked attack by a band of terrorist squirrels. Their goal was to force us back into the stone ages. Heartless bastards. (BTW, with the exception of one photo, I blatantly scarfed this pictures off of the internet and do not make any attempt to pass them off as my own.)

Dustbowl Critters 2006 : While our dustbowl buddies were out happily splashing in the water, Shelli and I sat off in search of photogenic critters. I had my trusty Nikon in tow and she her binoculars and ever-present bird book. Fun was had by all until the baby roadrunner flopped from it's nest with a sickening 'thud'. Yes, I know...it's all fun and games until the baby bird falls from the tree. And, no, it never really occurred to me to take more pictures of people until after the bird fiasco. By then, of course, it was too late. Sorry. Maybe next year.
